Bank Barn, 14 x 18, oil on canvas (2009)*
This barn sits in a town called Bovina in Delaware County, New York. Bank barns were built into the hill for the ease of unloading hay. This painting will be featured in a book by Cynthia Faulk, phd. about the barns of upstate New York, due to be released in Spring 2012.
Catskill Barn, 14 x 18, oil on canvas (2007) *
This is the same barn as Bank Barn viewed from the rear. I was told by locals that it is known as “Macpherson’s Barn”. This painting is part of the SUNY Cobleskill College Art Collection.

- The Paramount, 20 x 24, oil sketch on linen (2009) *
- The Paramount is located on Broad Street, Newark, NJ. While the facade remains in tact, the interior is mostly in ruin. This painting is 1 in a series of 9 oil sketches done for an exhibit at the New Jersey School of Architecture which celebrated Newark’s rich theater history.

- Diner, 8 x 10, oil on canvas (2010) *
- An abandoned diner in New Jersey that sits on route 22 in the general vicinity of Plainfield, NJ.

- The Powerhouse, 24 x 36, oil on canvas (2008) *
- This is the Powerhouse that once fueled the PATH trains in and out of Manhattan. It was built in 1908 and achieved landmark status in 2001. In 2010 it began rehabilitation into what will become an arts, retail, and entertainment center.

- End Of An Era, 30 x 50, oil on linen (2008) *
- This painting captured the Westinghouse Factory during its demolition in 2008. It was done for an exhibit called “The Westinghouse Project” curated by Matthew Gosser and hosted by The New Jersey College of Architecture.

- Bridge Span/GWB, 12 x 20, oil on panel (2009) *
- Here is the George Washington bridge viewed from Palisades Park, New Jersey. It connects New York to New Jersey (Ft. Lee to Washington Heights) via interstate 95. Its construction was completed in 1931 and is the most heavily traveled bridge in the world.

- Swamp Overpass, 12 x 18, oil on panel (2009)
- Route 280 travels over this bridge which spans New Jersey’s wetlands between Jersey City and Newark, NJ. New Jersey transit train tracks weave underneath while flight patterns cross above en route to Newark airport.

- Old Factory, 12 x 18, oil on board (2009)
- This old factory sits on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken, NJ. It is no longer a manufacturing facility but does house a company that packages and distrubes T-shirts.

- RKO Proctor 15 x 22, oil sketch on linen (2009) *
- The RKO Proctor is on Broad Street in Newark, NJ. In its hey day it housed three theaters. Those theaters are now defunct but traces of their beauty remain, like vaulted ceilings, velvet seats, and carved plaster prosceniums. This painting was part of an exhibit celebrating Newark’s theater heritage.
This church sits on the corner of Jersey Avenue and 4th Street in Jersey City, NJ. While much of it has fallen away, an espicopal congregation convenes here on weekends and holidays.
